Deep freeze temperatures. Mammoth snowstorms. Freezing rain. Downed trees and branches. Power outages that last days. And then it all happens all over again.
This is Snowmageddon! One of the worst winters not only in the Northeast but for a good portion of the country.
Here at Printworks, we weren’t strangers to all of this. We were impacted the most the week of February 3-7. On the third, a snowstorm kept our doors closed. And two days later, freezing rain caused a tree to fall on the street blocking access to the building. On top of that, a telephone pole in front of our parking lot snapped near the top, knocking power out to the area. The result was another three days of closure. And then a week later, another huge snowstorm came through the area, shutting us down on February 13th.
Yeah, it’s been Snowmageddon for sure. And while we wish none of this winter weather had happened, we can say without a doubt, we’ve survived it. How?
First, we had our phone lines forward to the cell phone of one of our sales associates. Next, we brought in generators to power some essential equipment so we weren’t at a standstill. And we kept our customers informed of our status on social networks.
How about you? What Snowmageddon story do you have? There are millions of them out there. And in those stories are tales of what people did to survive Snowmageddon.
